"....My freshman year was a really ominous school year for me. Leaving home and moving away from all of the support I had ever known was a pretty scary thought. I had God and my girlfriend and that was about all. My parents made me promise to get involved in a campus ministry so I would stay rooted in Christ.

In college, it became clear that Damascus Road, a ministry of Campus Ambassadors, was the ministry God handpicked for me. I quickly became involved in the fun loving group that hung around campus. I made great friendships and had a lot of fun helping out and serving the campus.

They seemed to be the perfect place for a college student, where activities included video games, softball, work retreats, and camps in the mountains...What else could be a more perfect fit for a college student? Not only were the activities fun but the leaders made everyone feel accepted and free to be themselves.

The leaders later approached me about joining their ministry as an intern. That was the perfect answer to prayer in my life. It was and is a God-planned fit for me in the ministry; something I will never regret and look forward to more amazing experiences..."
