Mission: The Campus Ambassadors Missions Program is a three-faceted approach to engage college students into existing Missions Door ministries to serve them and provide growth opportunities for those sent out.

What makes Engage different?

There is no cookie-cutter format. Each trip will be specific to the needs of the indigenous ministry, and the unique skills and interests of the students. We hope to foster a vision for holistic, theologically sound missions experiences.

The Options: Engage trips will partner specifically with Missions Door missionaries (link). Depending on your interests and the missionaries’ needs, we will partner you with opportunities that benefit all who are involved. Campus Ambassadors staff will lead repeated trips to the same locations, under the direction of the national leaders and local missionaries we will serve. There are 3 types of trips to choose from:

Short term mission trips (1-3 weeks) – These will be a traditional short term mission trip with a group of other college students. You’ll go to serve in whatever capacity the missionary needs. We’ll need a diverse group of people with a variety of skills. These could be construction projects, Vacation Bible School, Sports Camps, Street Evangelism, Homeless Outreach, and other high energy, short duration activities.

Mid-term missions internships (1-6 months) – Spend a semester or summer working on a specific project for a ministry. Maybe a missionary needs help with journalism and video production for their next outreach video. Or how about tutoring homeless youth for the summer, or coaching a sports camp? Let’s tailor your passions with a missionary’s hopes and vision, and see what God might do!

Specialized positions (6 months-1yr) – Would you love to use your educational background to honor God in missions, but you just don’t know how? There’s a good chance we have a spot for you! There are specific skills that you have to offer. And our missionaries would love a chance to partner with you in ministry. There are opportunities for teaching, farming/agriculture, communications, language study, community development, worship, and more. Let us know your interests and we’ll see what opportunities are out there.

Ready to Engage? Here's what you'll need to do:

Complete an Engage registration form.
Have your local Campus Ambassadors staff person fill out a Reference form.
Raise funds to cover trip costs.
Participate in any pre-trip or post-trip trainings and debrief sessions.
